Packages and memberships
Sell packages of visits and monthly or yearly memberships, online through your own Stripe account or in person, and let customers book with their pass.
Packages and memberships let customers pay ahead and then book against what they bought. A package is a number of visits for one price, such as "10 classes for $150". A membership is a price every month or year, with visits each period, a discount, or both. Customers buy them on your booking page through your own Stripe account, or your team sells them in person. Each sale creates a pass with its own link and code. You need at least one service (see Set up bookings), and a Stripe key to sell online.
1. Create a package or membership
- On the Appointments page, click Passes, then Packages and memberships.
- Click Add a package or membership.
- Choose Package or Membership, then fill in:
- Name, Price and Currency, plus a Description (optional).
- For a package: the number of Visits and Use within (from 30 days to 1 year, or Never expires).
- For a membership: Paid every (Month or Year), the visits each period or Unlimited visits, and an optional Member discount (%) off covered services once the visits are used.
- Covers: which services it can be used for. By default, every service except rentals.
- Tick Sold on the booking page to sell it online, and Taxable if tax applies.
- Click Save plan.
A class booking for three people uses three visits. If you change a plan later, passes already sold keep what they were sold with.
2. Sell online
To sell on your booking page, add your Stripe key first (see Deposits, prices and cancellation policies). Customers then pay through Stripe Checkout in your own Stripe account. Memberships renew through Stripe each month or year.
After buying, the customer gets their pass link and code by text and email. The AI doesn't sell packages or memberships during a conversation.
3. Sell a pass in person
- Click Passes, then Customers' passes.
- Click Sell a pass.
- Choose the Plan, how it was Paid by (Cash, Card machine or Other), and enter the Customer's name, Phone and Email.
- Save it. The customer gets the pass link and code by text and email.
4. Book with a pass
Customers book with their pass link, or by entering their code on the booking page. Each booking uses a visit (or applies the member discount once the visits are used).
When your team books on New appointment, choose the pass under Pay with, or leave it on Pay as usual.
5. Manage passes
Click Passes, then Customers' passes. Filter by Active, Payment failed, Expired or All, or search by name, email, phone or code. Open a pass to:
- See what it was Used for, and its Payments and changes.
- Add or take away visits with Visits (+ or −), giving a reason under Why.
- Make a new link if the old one was shared by mistake.
- Cancel pass, or End membership. A membership ends at the end of the paid period and Stripe stops charging. Bookings already made stay.
Refunds of passes bought online go back to the customer's card through your Stripe account. For passes sold in person, the refund is recorded and you give the money back yourself.
Reports on the Appointments page show passes sold, renewals, members and visits used.
Troubleshooting
Customers can't buy on the booking page. Check the plan has Sold on the booking page ticked, and that your Stripe key is added with the Checkout Sessions permission under Admin & Developer → Integrations.
A customer's pass shows Payment failed. The payment didn't go through in Stripe. Check the payment in your Stripe Dashboard and contact the customer.
