Phone, SMS & website

Build your website

Make a one-page website at your workspace address: draft it with AI, choose a style, add booking and a contact form, set up search details, then publish.

Aiva Chat can host a simple one-page website for your business at your workspace address, for example yourbusiness.aivachat.io. Visitors can call you, book online, chat with your assistant or send a message from it. You can build and preview the site on any account. Publishing it needs a paid plan, a workspace address and a working OpenAI key.

Connecting your own domain isn't available. The site always lives at your workspace address.

1. Open the Website page

In the sidebar, open Website & leads → Website. The bar at the top shows your address, whether the site is Draft or Live, and whether you have unsaved changes. The editor is on the left, in five tabs: Sections, Design, Header & footer, Business and Search. The preview on the right shows the page as visitors will see it.

If the page says you don't have a workspace address yet, choose one first in Account settings → Profile → Workspace address.

2. Let AI write a first draft (optional)

Click Write with AI and answer a few questions:

  • Business name
  • What do you do? List your main services (required)
  • Where do you work?
  • What makes you different?
  • Tone: Friendly, Professional, Premium or Playful

Click Write my page. Aiva Chat drafts your headline, services, about text, FAQ and search text. It uses your OpenAI key, and it never makes up reviews, prices or awards. Your business details and reviews stay as they are. Read the draft and change anything you like.

3. Fill in the sections

On the Sections tab, start with Top of the page: the Headline, the Subheadline and Show buttons. The buttons are Call, Book online and Get a quote, for whichever you've set up.

Then work through the sections. Each one can be moved up or down, shown or hidden, and given its own heading, menu label and Show in the top menu setting:

  • Services: up to 12, each with a name and description.
  • Book online: booking on your site (see step 6).
  • About: a paragraph about your business.
  • Reviews: up to 6. Only add real reviews from real customers, with their permission.
  • Opening hours: taken from your business hours.
  • FAQ: up to 10 questions and answers.
  • Contact form: a form visitors can send you a message with.

You can also Add a text section (a heading and a paragraph) or Add a call-to-action banner (a heading with one button that goes to your contact form, a call or your booking page). You can add up to 4 of these.

4. Choose the design

On the Design tab:

  • Logo: PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, up to 512 KB. It's shown in the header, as the browser tab icon and when your page is shared.
  • Style: start from Professional, Friendly, Bold, Elegant, Fresh or Calm, then change anything below.
  • Colours: Brand colour (buttons, links) and Accent colour (highlights).
  • Font and shapes: the font (Modern, Classic, Rounded or Clean), the button shape (Rounded, Pill or Square) and the top of the page style (Soft gradient, Brand colour or Plain white).

On the Header & footer tab:

  • Header: show the logo, the business name or both, keep the header on screen while scrolling, and choose the Header button (Call, Booking page, Contact form or No button) and its text.
  • Menu: rename menu links, or leave a section out of the menu.
  • Footer: a line about your business, contact details, opening hours, social links, small print and the copyright name.

5. Add your business details

On the Business tab, fill in Business details: business name (needed to publish), tagline, phone, email, address, area served, price range and your Google Business Profile link. These are shown on the page and given to Google as your business details. For the phone, use your Aiva Chat number so calls reach your AI receptionist.

Also on this tab:

  • Language: the language of the page's menus, buttons and contact form: English, Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, Polish or German.
  • Social profiles: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Ways to reach you: the Call button, the Contact form (pick one of your forms, or leave it as Create one for me and Aiva Chat makes one when you publish), the Booking page and the Chat widget (pick an assistant to show its widget on your live site).

6. Add booking

To let visitors book on your site, pick a Booking page under Business → Ways to reach you, then turn on the Book online section. Visitors book at your site's /book address, in your site's design. In the section you can choose the Services shown, and Show the next free times (3, 6, 9 or 12) when there's one length to book. See Booking pages and booking on your website.

On the Search tab, write a Search title (under 60 characters is best) and a Search description (140 to 160 is best). If you use Google Search Console, choose its "HTML tag" method and paste just the content="…" value into Google Search Console code.

When the site is live, Aiva Chat adds LocalBusiness structured data from your business details and hours, FAQ data when the FAQ section is shown, a sitemap.xml and a robots.txt.

8. Save and publish

Save draft keeps your changes without putting them live. Ctrl+S or ⌘S works too, and Aiva Chat asks before you leave the page with unsaved changes.

Click Publish when you're ready. Before you can publish you need:

  • a paid plan (you can build and preview on the free trial),
  • a workspace address,
  • a business name, a headline, and at least one section with something in it or buttons at the top of the page.

If anything is missing, a list above the editor says what, with a button that opens the field. Every publish then passes a quick AI content check on your OpenAI key. If the check stops a publish, the page shows the reason; edit the page and try again.

Once the site is live, edits stay in your draft until you click Publish changes. Unpublish takes the site down; your draft is kept and you can publish again any time.

Leads from your website

Messages from the contact form go into Forms like any other form: they're emailed to you and filed as leads. Lead sources on your home page counts them as "Your website".

Changing your workspace address

You can change your address in Account settings → Profile → Workspace address, up to 3 times in 30 days. Your website moves to the new address. The old address stops working for sign-in straight away and is held for you for 30 days, so nobody else can take it. Links to your forms and booking pages that you've already shared keep working. Update any bookmarks and anywhere you've printed or posted the old address.

Good to know

  • A live site stays up while you're on a paid plan. If the plan ends, visitors see a page saying the site isn't available.
  • Every live site has a small "Powered by Aiva Chat" line and a link visitors can use to report the page to the Aiva Chat team. The team can take down a page that breaks the content rules; the Website page then tells you, and you can contact support to have it reviewed.
